The McKesson 44122000 Medi-Pak 4 x 4 Inch Gauze Sponge offers 12-ply layering for added softness and absorbency. It’s constructed of 100 percent textured cotton which creates a versatile multi-purpose gauze dressing. Dental offices use the gauze sponge to place in the patient’s mouth to absorb blood and fluid after dental procedures. The single-use sponge can quickly wick away exudate to also work well as a wound dressing. The dressing is very low linting which is important when placed in the mouth or on a wound. Gauze sponges are highly used to clean medical devices as well.

The sponges are packaged non-sterile in a pack of 200 sponges or in a case of 10 packs. When needing individual packages of sterile sponges, McKesson offers these gauze sponges in 4-ply with two sterile sponges per pack.
